Range Rules and Waiver
INDEMNITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of being permitted to use the archery range facilities, equipment, and services (collectively, the “Activities”) provided by Benson Archery (herein “The Range”), I, the undersigned, for myself and any minor(s) listed below, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk:
I understand that archery involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or death. I voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with participation in these activities.
2. Release of Liability:
I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Benson Archery, its owners, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising out of or related to any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property incurred while using The Range facilities or participating in the activities.
3. Indemnification:
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Range from any and all claims, actions, suits, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney fees, arising out of my participation or that of any minor in the activities.
4. Rules and Conduct:
I agree to follow all posted rules and instructions provided by The Range staff. I understand that failure to do so may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.
5. Medical Treatment:
I give permission for The Range to provide emergency medical treatment if necessary and agree to be responsible for any resulting costs.
6. Photographic Release:
I grant permission to The Range and Benson Archery to use photographs and/or video recordings of me for promotional or educational purposes without compensation.
7. You agree to this document verbally with staff. It will be logged in the system under your records.
RANGE RULES AND SAFETY GUIDELINES
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, all participants must follow the rules and guidelines listed below while using the facilities at The Range. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in removal from the premises or a permanent ban.
1. All archers must sign a waiver before using the range.
2. No one may enter the range without permission from staff.
3. Always wait until all shooters are behind the line before nocking an arrow, drawing or shooting.
4. Never point a bow and arrow at another person, even in jest.
5. Please wear appropriate clothing and closed footwear.
7. Inspect your equipment before use. If you have a concern, please see staff.
8. Retrieve arrows only when all shooters have stopped. All shooters to announce “clear”.
9. No running on the range. Be mindful of others at all times.
10. Children under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
11. No alcohol or drug use is permitted on the premises.
12. Food and drink are allowed only in designated areas.
13. Follow all staff instructions. Their decisions are final regarding safety and conduct.
14. Benson Archery Range reserves the right to refuse service to anyone violating these rules.
15. No broadheads permitted on range targets. Please see staff regarding broadheads.
16. If there are multiple shooters, all shooters must be on the same line. Movable targets can be placed closer.
17. You are permitted to use your own target. Please confirm with staff.
18. You are responsible for your own equipment, your own safety and of the safety of the people next to you.
